Meet our Directors
At The Nest Preschool, our commitment to excellence begins with strong, thoughtful leadership. We are proud to introduce the dedicated directors who guide both our general and Judaic curriculum, ensuring every child receives a well-rounded, meaningful early childhood experience.
Our Curriculum Director brings deep expertise in early childhood education and the Reggio Emilia approach, overseeing the developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based learning experiences that define The Nest. With a focus on nurturing creativity, independence, and a love of learning, our curriculum director supports teachers in designing environments and provocations that reflect children’s interests and support whole-child development.
Our Kodesh (Jewish Studies) Director leads with passion and purpose, weaving joyful Jewish learning and values into the daily life of our school. Rooted in tradition and enriched with intention, our Kodesh curriculum includes Hebrew language, Shabbat celebrations, holidays, mitzvot, and connection to Eretz Yisrael. Through songs, stories, rituals, and hands-on experiences, our children develop a deep and personal relationship with their Jewish identity.
Together, these leaders collaborate to ensure that every aspect of our program—secular and sacred—reflects the heart of The Nest: a warm, inspired, and nurturing Jewish environment where children flourish.
Rabbanit Leah Albert

Director of Kodesh
For the past 25 years, Rabbanit Albert has been a devoted builder of the Jewish community, serving alongside her husband as Rabbanit Beit Knesset, welcoming thousands of guests into her home, and nurturing her family as a loving mother and grandmother. Her passion lies in showering children with warmth and care while creating a joyful, meaningful, and stimulating Jewish learning environment.
As the Director of Kodesh at The Nest, Rabbanit Albert brings the beauty of Yahadut to life. Through song, hands-on holiday experiences, traditional foods, and creative holiday-themed projects, she will ensure that the Chagim are felt deeply and remembered fondly. Each week, she will help usher in Shabbat with Shabbat Imma and Shabbat Abba, guiding the children in the traditions and preparations for the holy day.
With her nurturing presence, Rabbanit Albert will make sure that every child at The Nest feels safe, cherished, and inspired to connect with their Jewish identity.
